MSKNmásterEnsemble is a versatile and lively orchestral ensemble in which the Master in Music Performance students obtain a high-level professional training, focusing above all on the repertoire that ranges from the 20th century classics to the première of new works, and contrasting it with the classical and romantic repertoire.

José Luis Estellés is conducting this 2023*24 three programs.

The MSKN MasterEnsemble’s season is centred on the outstanding music of the unique Igor Stravinsky, by whom a total of six works will be performed: from the intimate Russian Songs and Verlaine’s Poems to the iconic ‘Les Noces’ via the highly idiomatic Symphonies for winds, Concertino and Concertante Dances. Quite a challenge!

The season is rounded off by an authentic stylistic journey, which will take us from Mozart’s masterpiece ‘Gran Partita’, the best legacy of important 20th century composers (Berg, Bartók, Gershwin…), the picturesque Villa-Lobos and contemporary music represented by Sánchez-Verdú and a symphonic premiere by Lionel Aldino.
Come and enjoy with us!
