The full program brings together a world première by the talented composer Mikel Iturregi, the ever-modern masterpiece for ensemble by Varese – Octandre-, next to the central European avant-garde music of Cerha and Rihm plus to icons of our musical tradition: Mahler’s “Titan” and Hans Zender’s Schuberts “Winterreise”.

The CD ‘Fin du Temps’, which includes works by Takemitsu and Messiaen, recorded for the label Ibs has been awarded the “Melómano de Oro” by MELOMANO magazine in January 2021. Read More

Label Ibs classical to release latest José Luis Estellés’s recording, Fin du Temps
Toru Takemitsu & Olivier Messiaen
José Luis Estellés has recorded the 20th century’s masterpiece for this instrumental combination, the “Quartet for the End of Time” by Olivier Messiaen, in musical partnership with Aitzol Iturriagagoitia (violin), David Apellániz (cello) and Alberto Rosado (piano). Together with the Quatuor, this CD includes iconic Quatrain II by Toru Takemitsu.

Creating great music starts by nurturing young musicians, so the AIMS Academy invites and brings talented young music students together from around the world, and provides private and group mentoring with highly renowned music professors from well-known institutions. José Luis Estellés is the Artistic Director of the International Wind Academy.

José Luis has been a Musikene professor since its creation in 2001. You can study with him both Bachelor in Musical Performance and Master in Musical Performance (Clarinet). José Luis is also a professor of Chamber Music and Ensemble in Master studies, conducting the Musikene Master Ensemble.
