MSKNmásterEnsemble is a versatile and lively orchestral ensemble in which the Master in Music Performance students obtain a high-level professional training, focusing above all on the repertoire that ranges from the 20th century classics to the première of new works, and contrasting it with the classical and romantic repertoire.

José Luis Estellés is programming and conducting this 2023*24 three programs.

This new season of MSKN MasterEnsemble offers three very exciting programmes. The first, a glimpse on three different musical worlds, Germany in the 20’s (Schrecker), USA in the 40’s (Copland) and Italy in the 60’s (Dallapicolla). The second programme puts together two picturesque composers, linked to traditional music and cinema: Heitor Villa-lobos and Milks Rósza. The last programme will bring to light a piece for our saxophone ad percussion musicians: In Erwartung by iconic composer Sofia Gubaidulina and the celebrated Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, together with pieces by Chausson and David del Puerto.
